Area Tier List

Areas in Dreamality are moods with loading fades, not zones with level numbers. This list ranks them by how often players wipe, miss a collectible, or misunderstand the tone. Pair it with the badge tier list and the walkthrough.

S — bring a guide

School. Highest wipe rate in community comments. Stealth-search, adult sightlines, panic sprinting. Full route: school puzzle. Scripts that noclip it skip the only mechanical identity the demo has.

Sub Realm. Not always a separate thumbnail. You know it by the sermon: safer here, return, nothing outside, do not covet. There’s nothing beyond. lives here. Fog, patience, a voice that hates curiosity. S because most players never stay long enough to be argued with.

A — easy to play wrong

Rain fork. Blind To The Rain is “Predictable.” The area is whatever the demo marks as the bad weather choice. A-tier because obedient players never enter.

Park (if you rush). As a mood the park is B-tier kindness. As a collectible space it becomes A if you skip hide-and-seek. Children, a duck shirt, overalls, a straw-hat companion. Shards and Playful live on the grass. Walk, do not fly.

B — story, not a test

Park (if you play). Hide-and-seek is a scene. Once you agree to play, it is readable. B for players who talk.

Nihility lands. Navigation can confuse because landmarks are the point — there are not many. Visit badge is free; lingering for a glint is the real task. Fog is art. Fullbright is vandalism (scripts).

Apartment / waking frame. Low mechanical threat, high lore density. Laptop, rug, sometimes Dream Guy sitting like a roommate. You can miss interacts if you mash skip. B for attention, C for combat (there is no combat).

C — walk and look

Open fields. Glass building, oversaturated trees, the screenshot on this wiki’s home hero. Visit badge, maybe a shard on a second lap. C for difficulty, S for first impression. This is why people compare Dreamality to cozy games until the school starts.

How to spend a session by tier

  • New file: C and B in story order (getting started).
  • Second session: A-tier rain + park leftovers.
  • Third: S-tier school, then Sub Realm if you still have a head.

Do not “speedrun C-tier.” The fields are the writing. If you only rank rooms by time-to-badge, you will call the best space in the demo a waste.

Multiplayer effect

Max 25. Other avatars do not make the school easier unless they already know the loop and stay quiet. They can make the park easier by standing near a hidden kid. They can also stand on a puzzle. Solo is the intended reading; online is allowed (facts in spirit: this is an online-capable story, not split-screen).

When a new area ships

The demo is unfinished. A wing can appear without a trailer. We will add it as unranked for a day, then place it when wipe reports exist. Until then, if a door is new, it is probably S until proven otherwise — Frutiger Studios has already shown they will put the hard room after the kind one.

Rank the school as the boss. Rank the park as the reason you stayed. Rank the Sub Realm as the reason the demo is horror even when nothing chases you.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Dreamality demo players.

What is the hardest area in Dreamality?

The school, then the Sub Realm. Guides: school and There's nothing beyond..

Is the park required?

For Playful and a shard, yes. You can walk toward school without it and regret it. See shards.

Why is open fields C-tier?

Low wipe rate. It is still the best-looking space. Tier is difficulty, not quality.

Will Chapter 1 add areas above school?

Unknown. The roadmap only promises a finished chapter or smaller additions when they are done.
